Travelgram Review

It took about 8-10 minutes for us to reach the hotel from Beragala town. Our vehicle was a jeep; hence it was not difficult for us to reach the property. But if you wish to travel by a car you should be mindful of the road, and there were a few crack-in areas in the way. You can contact the hotel staff. The staff is very supportive so they will direct you to the resort.

Upon arrival, we understood the rationale behind the name of the resort. The Romance Valley is covered with valleys and is ideal for romantic moments. The hotel is surrounded by natural landscapes such as lakes and mountains. It’s such a romantic atmosphere. In the day time, the atmosphere was not as cold as I expected. It was little warm.

This resort has a long history and has renowned for leisurely stay of many prestigious travelers for its location which is set like a gem in tranquil settings. Asif Ali Zardari (former president of Pakistan) Mohamed Nasheed (former president of the Maldives) Helmut Kohl (former chancellor of Germany) are among the top visitors of Romance Valley.

Pool and the surrounding

The plunge swimming pool and the scenic evening sunset are two things that we loved most in the Romance Valley.

The view of the infinitive pool which faces Haputale mountain ranges and tea estate is breathtaking. We enjoyed the chirping sounds of birds flying back to their homes. We enjoyed plenty of time in the pool and the only thing that took us out of the pool is the sunset. We all wanted to take pictures of the multicolored sky at sunset.

The sunset view through mountain ranges is magnificent and we guaranteed that it will take your breath away! The unobstructed view allows guests to cherish the brightly colored dusk. Each villa has uniquely designed in a way which guests can peacefully adore the gracious blessings of mother nature. Bird’s-eye view of the surroundings brings array of landscapes ranging from the mountains and valleys of the hill-country, to lakes, forests and also a view of the southern coast of Sri Lanka.

Rooms and other amenities

This romantic hideout has 2 suites and 3 villas at this property. The villas at Romance Valley has uniquely designed with modern glass wall structure which allows an undisturbed view of the environment. The continuation of the unobstructed view of the surroundings throughout the room is the unique feature of every room. The hotel is committed to provide guests the opportunity to indulge in the immaculate opulence and the comfort. Apart from the panoramic view, the villa offers its guests features such as television and DVD/CD player. There is no A/C in the room as the surrounding is normally cold but Travelgram would like to recommend an A/C for each room for day-time use.

Modern suites come with a separate living room and a private terrace overlooking mountain ranges. This private terrace makes it an ideal place to relax the mind, body and soul. The suite bathroom is spacious and include a full-size bathtub. There is a separate shower area with stones and natural setting which provide a rejuvenate shower. Staff will provide laundry services upon the request.

Foods and Beverages

Guests can enjoy a selection of western and Sri Lankan dishes in the restaurant. We had to give our meal preferences prior the meal. There were few dishes as of what we ordered but every dish was delicious and we enjoyed the meal. The foods were served outside. The outdoor dining experience was great as we enjoyed the setting overlooking the mountains. We recommend this resort for guests who love to enjoy the beauty of nature but not mainly the foods.
